We are so happy that your daughter is considering membership in Alpha Phi! Alpha Phi is a loyal sisterhood of women courageously pursuing limitless excellence. We are comprised of 175 collegiate chapters and more than 290,000 members.

As she begins her Alpha Phi journey at Oregon State University, we will ensure she has the opportunities to grow, make friends, and have fun. Most of all, we hope that her collegiate experience enriches her education, provides leadership education and professional networking opportunities, and prepares her for life after graduation.

As a student and new member, we encourage her to get involved, explore new interests, get to know other sisters and fellow students and take an active part in the life of her chapter and university.

Leadership & Learning Opportunities
Alpha Phi will provide your daughter with one-of-a-kind leadership and learning experiences that will enhance her ability to achieve her professional goals.
Being an Alpha Phi is empowering, and we believe the resources, opportunities and relationships she will gain as an Alpha Phi helps us as women committed to positively impacting the world.

Every member has the opportunity to hold a leadership position within the Chapter. No matter what your daughter is interested in, there will be a committee for her! From event planning to recruitment to diversity and inclusion, she will be able to explore her interests and take the first step on her Alpha Phi leadership journey.

In addition to the Chapter’s leadership positions, Alpha Phi has numerous leadership training and development opportunities available to our members, both in college and after. You can read more about them here.
Academic Support
Alpha Phis hold themselves and their sisters to high academic standards. Your daughter must be enrolled as a full-time student and maintain a satisfactory scholastic record to remain a member in good standing.
Alpha Phi has a dedicated leadership position dedicated to academic programming and ensures members are supported in their educational endeavors, through study hours, incentives, and more.
In Fall 2024, Alpha Phi recorded a 3.2 Chapter GPA, with new members recording a first term GPA of 3.6!

Alpha Phi Foundation scholarships help Alpha Phis pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees. These scholarships are made possible by generous donors. Each year, the Foundation awards more than $430,000 in scholarships to outstanding Alpha Phis. Scholarship applications are due March 1 each year and scholarships are awarded in July for use in the upcoming academic year. You can learn more about Alpha Phi Foundation scholarships here.
Parent & Family Involvement
We believe that family is an essential part of our members’ lives. We welcome the involvement of parents and families in family events for the Chapter. From attending exciting events like Dad’s and Mom’s Weekends to supporting our philanthropic endeavors at Red Dress Gala, your involvement enriches our sisterhood.
We encourage parents to stay connected through our online platforms and to reach out with any questions or concerns. Your support is invaluable to our members’ growth and development.

It is your daughter’s responsibility to fulfill certain membership obligations designated by the chapter. These responsibilities may include maintaining a certain grade point average, completing a certain number of community service hours and participating in the chapter’s recruitment and philanthropy events. All members should abide by Alpha Phi’s policies and procedures, live in the chapter house when applicable, participate in recruitment and philanthropy events, and stay current in dues and fees.
